My niece is going thru what you are going thru right now. they are doing every test in the book. But they all have told her to work with his legs by making him kick and her playing with his legs. As for her sitting up, try this: grab her hands and pull her into a sitting position. And let her attempt to do this. Give her Tummy time and this will make her push herself up to look around. She WILL cry. but let her hae 10 minutes of this and get down on the floor in front of her and interact with her. Once the 10 minutes is up, changer her position. Do this several times a day. This helps the back muscles. You can also let her push on your hands to attempt to crawl. Take her outside on sunny days and do tummy time and the other stuff too. There is much more to see and hear that she will want to see what is around her.
As for your stress level... Nothing is going to help, BUT you must remember that if you are stressed out, your little girl WILL pick up on it. Do some internet search and write down your questions for your doc and the neurologist. This will help with your stress levels.
As for my niece and her baby, tests are still not complete yet.
I hope this helps.

My son was only about 91/2 months at the time, and he would not put any weight on his legs. He had no interedt in crawling around either. He sat or pulled himself around like a worm or snake does. Then one day he just up and walked. No furniture to hold on to, just walked. It was total amazement. He had no problems.
I am not saying that them same will be for you, but I really wish you the best of luck with any problems you might need to face.

I haven't been through this before. But, I'd just be patient and hope for the best. It could be something little, so try not to worry yourself too much until you know for sure, because by worrying yourself you daughter will see that something is wrong and it will affect her also. Good luck!

I haven't been through something like this with my son, but I just want to tell you to hang in there, sweetie. Hopefully the neurologist will be able to see if there are any developmental problems occuring. Things will work out, and it may turn out better than you think. :-)

Yes I used to keep children and one boy as over 12 months when he finally started standing..We were told to put him in a baby walker so he could stand on his own to strengthen his leg muscles. Get to the other side of the room and call to him to make him come to you. We also used a bouncy seat that was secured to the hallway entryway..he could bounce all on his own and he loved it..
