Utter rubbish, I'm afraid. If a way to predict the long-term future ever exists, you can bet anything you have that it won't include reading random folds on your flesh.

Life and Reality are intrinsically unpredictable. Mathematically speaking, they're chaotic. Think back over the biggest events in your life: would they have happened if you'd taken a slightly different route, or been a minute later or earlier? Tiny changes to the things you do and the choices you make can easily be amplified into life-changing experiences - just like the butterfly wing causing a tornado across the world.

Choose a different shirt one morning and the extra time it takes to get dressed may mean that you're in exactly the right place to collide with a millionaire's new Rolls Royce. Less than a second can make it his fault or yours. The one outcome could mean you become bankrupt, lose a leg and die a pauper a few years later. The other might see you married to the love of your life, whom you met on a trip you took to spend the insurance payout. Life is chaotic, and only statistically predictable - with a huge error margin.

It's called self-fulfilling prophecy. Which is when you are told that something is going to happen or is true and through subconscious actions you bring those moments to occur.
