The easiest way to do it is by downloading a CD Ripper, you can download a good one from the link below for free. They are easy to use. With this software you can configure the bit rate of your resulting MP3's. Go to the next category: Audio > CD Rippers & Encoders.

I use a free program called CDex. It works great!

I know my Creative soundblaster card does.
