I don't think anyone mentioned the Lion Habitat at MGM this one is great for kids of all ages, and you can have photos taken with a lion cub, it's very cute.
The Masquerade Show in the Sky at Rio is also a good one for the kids, they can even dress up and ride along.
I'm sure these have been mentioned but the best two are the
Fountains of Bellagio
Fremont Street Experience

It depends on what you like to do. Tours of Hoover dam used to be popular, but with the traffic congestion there during the construction of the new bridge, I think they've given up on the tours.
There is a nice beach outside of Boulder City on Lake Mead. You can go there and swim and lie in the sun and have a good time. Sometimes you can watch good looking members of the other sex wearing small bathing suits. There is a marina nearby where you can get a good steak dinner, feed popcorn to carp and learn about renting houseboats and other craft, including personal watercraft.
you can go to Mt. Charleston. This time of year there is still snow. I don't know whether the skiing lifts are still open.
You can go to The Valley of Fire and/or Red Rock Canyon, a couple of beautiful nature sites. Each of them has several attractions. There is hiking, climbing, bicycling and more.
Mandalay Bay has the Shark Reef (a pretty good aquarium) and an artificial beach. Downtown you can find The Natural History Museum and The Children's Museum, both of which can amuse young children for half a day or so. My four year old grand daughter pointed at the giraffe in the Natural History Museum. What's that? she asked. That's a giraffe, I answered. No, those things. Oh, I said, those are testicles. Little did I realize that she would repeat the word several times, but she did learn something that day.
Come to Vegas. You'll have a ball.

Is NY NY the casino with the roller coaster
and the Ceasars Palace show for magic and dinner is superb and pretty clean - they limit each round to 24 people so you are up close to the magic -
We bought our tickets before we went from an online place and got a 10% discount
when we got to Vegas - the books they handed out were buy one get one free - and we could have saved even more
that has been 3-4 years ago - don't know if that's still a plan
Treasure Island has an outside show - and there is a beautiful set of waltzing waters at Belagio - is it?
have a great trip - Oh and there are 6 Wal-Marts in Vegas - away from the strip! And some other good family restaurants- we found a great Mexican place off the strip
enjoy

rent a jeep and drive to the valley of fire, or redrocks park, you can take a daily flight over the grand canyon, there is an old western fort in the city, there is a childrens museam, on the strip you can go to circus circus for an indoor amusment park, all of the hotels have themes, there are talking statues in ceasars palace that talk about atlantis, there are fish tanks in ceasers and the mirage, there is a volcano at night comming out of the falls at the mirage, there is a pirate ship battle in front of treasure island, there is a botanical garden inside of the bellagio and at night the dancing waters, there is a dolphin show at the mirage as well, you can go in the venetian and watch the gondolas, inside and out, and they sing too. there is a puppet show in the shopping area of the excalibur, the Luxor is like visiting the pyramids, indoors is full of huge statues including a couple of camels and down stairs is the buffet which is all done up like the dig for tuts toumb. paris has the eiffle tower outside and ny ny looks like a new york tour inside and out and has a wild ride. you can get seats on the double decker bus and just look as you go down the street, that will help you figure out where you might want to go. there is also a mono rail over part of the town, the stratosphere is very tall and you can see the whole valley, and if you get that jeep drive up to Hoover Dam. lots to do. enjoy.

The shark reef at Mandalay Bay is excellent! There are huge floor to ceiling aquariums with sharks and you feel like you are right in the ocean with them. There is a jellyfish tank which is really neat. There is a hands-on tank where you can "pet" some fish, starfish, etc. This would be a definite must-see with kids.
The m&m store is a good freebie to see. There are 3 levels with everything m&m.

I was there with my son, and he really enjoyed Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden, the Stratusphere, the light show on Fremont Street, and the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Center.
