I think it means that you can be in a room full of people but still feeling alone. Some people are happy alone and don't need alot of fuss.
Alone doesn't mean lonely.

I suppose it means you can keep yourself company. It's comparable to the phrase - you're alone but you're not lonely. You're not sad or upset that you're alone, you're fine with it. You're not alone because you can think about your family and friends, also.

it might be refering to god. It might mean that you might be alone physically but that God is watching over you and helping you. It could mean that you're alone but that you have friends and family looking out fo you.
