can i download my laptop files onto my main and how?

I want to save everything on my laptop including my main hard drive on it

If you have a wireless network already set up and don't want to go the route of buying a transfer cable, just establish a shared folder on the desktop and copy the files that way.

get out the harddisk from the laptop and put it to your main
or use transfer wizard
or copy things to any other memories(usb flash or hard or dvd's..)
