The FBI do not just place someone on a list because they think he/she might have done something. They have to get a judge to issue a warrant for the arrest. To do this they must produce some evidence. Evidently they have not done so for 9/11 but have for the other acts. It makes sense to go after him for what you have the most evidence about.

Please read this in full..

Sorry to break it to ya... But FBI is a domestic intelligence agency. Although it tracks terrorists within the US(inside US border) I believe CIA and others have jurisdiction over international suspects located over seas, cross US borders.

Yes FBI will aid with war on terror thing, but their main concern is crimes/criminals inside the US borders. Osama is not inside USA. FBI will relay info to CIA if they obtain info on Osama from people inside our country, but won't go out to catch him.

Saddam wasn't on that list, Malisovich(Kosovo thing) wasn't either... and many other bad guys.

Yes there are lot of agencies and it can be confusing, but now you know.

Plus, no one need to put Osama on FBI's wanted list to let people know we want to catch that guy. The list is meant to get help from the public. Not much the public on US soil can do to help catch Osama.

He is on the Ten Most Wanted List.

*Edit* Sorry I misread your question. He is wanted for the earlier attacks. He has taken credit for the 9/11 attacks, not sure why he hasn't been charged in absentia.

*Edit* To the poster below me who claimed that Osama Bin Laden has never taken credit for the 9/11 attacks:

[quote] The 90-minute video apparently shows bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, taking part in the planning and preparation of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

In case you don't remember, his name was on the FBI most wanted list just after 911. He was number one on the list.

That is odd. They state that he is wanted in connection with an attack in 1998, then just state also wanted in connection with other attacks, but don't go into detail.

Because it was an inside job. Go see for yourself. Watch loose change.

DUH

BECAUSE HE'S DEAD!

We got him at Tora Bora. He was buried under a whole mountain when t was heavily bombed.

God can't you liberals put two and two together? That's why there hasn't been a single photo or new video of him sense.

On the bottom right hand side of the site you specified, they constantly cycle through the Top Ten Most Wanted. And guess what, Osama is there.

Consider your post debunked.

But thanks for sharing.

He wasn't there (in the planes). There is no legal evidence that he did it that I am aware of. Therefore, they can not legally accuse him of the crime (I think). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Other than that, I honestly couldn't tell you.

Good post
