80 - Here's why....

The starting pitching is awesome. However, Wainwright is starting this year (give him a chance though), Rogers is not really a good fantasy league pitcher, and Penny could be questionable. K-Rod is s a good as any closer, but you'll need another closer or two. HANG ON TO SORIANO! If Wickman chokes in ATL, either Soriano or Mike Gonzales will take over closing duties. Meanwhile, he will pick up the occasional win an help in the ERA and Whip categories......

I don't agree with many of the previous posts that the offense is that bad. Piazza is fine at Catcher, Pujols!!, Barfield will likely pick up some getting to play in more hitter friendly parks, Blalock could go either way (give him a shot though), and the outfield is good. I'm not a fan of Renteria because he gets streaky, but I wouldn't sell anything else off to upgrade here. Wiggington and Aurilla can sub at lots of positions, but I'd dump them and pick up some closer prospects.......

This is a 60 to 65. Your offense is fair at best-it seems like you spent way too many early picks on pitching but you only have one closer (Wainwright is starting this year, not closing). The first thing you need to do is find 2 more closers either via waiver or trade. Then you need to look for some SB on the waiver wire-you will finish in the lower half of that catagory if you don't improve there. I would look to trade Peavy or Dice-K for a hitter with good power and speed. Ignore the guy above about Renteria-he'll be a top 8 SS this year easily. Your starting pitching will still be a strength as I believe Bush, Harden and Wainwright will have great years.

Maybe a 75 or so. I'd look at what catchers are available. If you can get Russell Martin, he'd be an upgrade over the aging Piazza. No problem at 1B. Barfield is solid at second. Renteria overrated but adequate at SS. Don't like Blalock at third. He may be ok first half but will slump the second half of the season. Look at an Alex Gordon if available as possible insurance. Outfield decent power and good speed. Don't need all those bats on the bench. Wigginton & aurilia are ery droppable. Cut one for another closer if someone like Saloman Torres is available. If not see if you can't trade Giambi for somebody like Wickman, a dependable closer who's not outstanding. Except for Rogers, and perhaps Wainwright I like your SP. Maybe Rogers could be dealt for someone like scott olsen of Florida a good pitcher with high K's good era & whip.

It looks like you dont have a 2nd round pick? did you reach and take peavy?

You spent a lot of early picks to get pitchers that are very similar to pitches you can get later. And you also only got one releiver which means that you are either going to give up on saves or try to get scrub closers off the waiver wire. Not good news either way.

Your offense is decent, but i think Patterson and Giambi will be benched from you team by the end of the year. THe leauge where i got Pujos I got Holliday and Bay in the next 2 picks.

i give your team a 7. 8 means you finish in the money. So you need one player to break out big or you need a trade.

55-60. Besides Pujols and Piazza, your infield stinks. Blalock is worthy of a bench spot and Renteria is hardly the offensively player he was in years past. Im not sold on Barfield yet either. You only have one closer in k-Rod because Wainwright is a starter now and Rafael Soriano is useless. Drop Soriano and pick up a closer, maybe Solomon Torres or wait until opening day and pick up Dustin Hermanson from waivers.

I'd rate between 80 and 90. Piazza is a decent player at a weak position.

2B-Barfield might bust out this year. Give him a chance, then grab someone off waivers if he sucks.
3B-You can get a better 3B than Blalock.
SS-Get someone else.
OF is pretty good
BN-Conor Jackson is a nice pick. I'm not sold on Wigginton and Aurilia. I think you need more HR hitters.

You pitching is pretty strong. I think Dice-K will pan out. I think Wainwright will start this year, so you may want another closer. I don't think R. Soriano is worth anything.

Good luck.

Ur pitching is approximately 7. Dan Haren and brad penny are astounding on an identical time as Bobby Jenks is a solid nearer and Bronon Arroyois gonna be extra effective. Pedro would be healthful yet I dont think of Perez might have a solid serason, yet Blanton might. Accardo is usual. Ivan Rodriguez has solid protection, yet his offense hasnt been very solid the previous couple of seasons so dont excpect many factors from him/ I wouldnt excpect Pena to have the comparable 3 hundred and sixty 5 days he had final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days so not as plenty factors as final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Cano is sweet and continuously would be. comparable with A-Rod. I wouldnt excpect a huge 3 hundred and sixty 5 days from Cabrera the two, yet i might nevertheless % him as a starter over Hudson. Carlos Lee and Ichiro might desire to have solid years next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Aaron Rowand might have a miles better 3 hundred and sixty 5 days than he did final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, yet not as many RBI's. Ellsburry will might desire to instruct himself, Hudson would be solid incase Cano gets injured. LaRoche is an usual participant to boot is Cameron. So with that assessment, I supply you HITTERS: 8 BENCH: 6.5 PITCHERS: 7 usual: 7.5
