One of the first acts by Adolf Hitler when he gained power in Germany was to create the governmental Ministry of Education and give it control of all schools and school-related issues. In 1937, Hitler said: "This Reich stands, and it is building itself up for the future, upon its youth. And this Reich will give its youth to no one, but will itself take youth and give to youth its (the state's) own education and its own upbringing."
This sounds a lot like our public school "system".

OK folks,
For those of you who think that NAZI Germany was fascists...WRONG! NAZI is a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party. Hitler killer COMMUNISTS..the Russians IOW.
For those who think our public schools are the U.S.A.'s salvation. WRONG!
Our public screwls are brainwashing our children into liberalism which equal socialism which will destroy our republic.
Remember Oscar Wilde?
"Democracy is the bludgeoning of the people, by the people, for the people."
To the Canadian, bravo. You are patriotic and you love your country. Too bad don't know that Hitler WAS indeed a true socialist. Read your history.
To everyone who referenced YouTube. Get real. If you are going to give references, give REAL references, not YouTube or Wiki.

Not really. Socialist dictators:
1) Disarm the populance - take away the guns from the people so they can't fight back
2) As you said, take over education and start teaching the children that socialism is the only way
3) Restrict freedoms. Don't allow freedom of speech, dont allow free media, don't allow free association.
It gets worse from there.

Hitler was not a true socialist and was one of the most reviled men in history.
Having said that, he created a fabulous economy the allowed for the greatest war machine in history. Except for some mistakes he made in the such as trying to take on Russia and declaring war on the US he would have ruled Europe as well as Britain.
The American war machine is miles behind what Germany's was.
Even our Conservative government in Canada is more socialist the your Democrats and we are a much better country than the US.

You think you live in a democratic society but you don't. Your vote never counted check out 'diebold voter fraud'. The machines that counted the vote were manipulated. This is truth. The Federal Reserve is a private offshore company not a part of America. (See Arron Russo's film in Google Video) This is truth! The stockmarket is a sham beyond belief! www.investigatethesec.com

This is all truth and you will not be told again.

Gadwin's Law dictates that you've just lost the argument because you brought up Hitler.
However, I really disagree that the public school system is fostering socialism or whatever point you were trying to make with that statement. If you think of it that way, you might consider the fact that public schools can just as easily indoctrinate your sort of philosophy as they can that of a socialist. Take for example, schools in Kansas that were in danger of having evolution taught as a theory alongside creationism. Truthfully, it's easy to brainwash children to be either liberal or conservative....
But that wasn't your question, was it...?
I'd say the first act of a socialist government would be to give benefits to all people. They would want to make themselves look indispensable before taking away freedoms.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. But, you know that could NEVER happen here, because America is immune from such corruption, right? I am amazed that people stay so blind to such broadly sweeping downward trends in the government/citizen relationship here in America. Can it truly be a minority as it appears, who are awake to our awful situation? I guess that is a question to which I may never have an answer in this life.

the third reich was a fascist government, not a socialist one. in fact the nazis actively sought out and arrested (killed) socialists.
true, the two types of systems are eerily similar although one is on the extreme right whereas the other is on the extreme left.

Socialist? I believe what you are referring to is called Fascism! That misconception could be dangerous! Unless I am mistaken, and I don't think I am, the Nazi regime was a FASCIST dictatorship, and there was nothing Socialist about it. *sm*

It sounds nothing at all like our public school system. That's a ridiculous remark and if they had your address I'm sure nearly every school teacher in America would come forward and give you a piece of their mind.
