In december I came off birth control. Since then my periods have been rather erratic being Jan 2nd, Jan 22nd and Feb 16th. I should have started last friday and here it is a week later and I have not had my period yet.
last monday i had a blood test that came back negative for pregnancy. This past week I've noticed breast tenderness and a bloated feeling.
Could the test have been incorrect?

Because you had the blood test I would say no your not pregnant. The blood test is supposed to be the most accurate. Generally 99.7%

Usually the blood test is the end-all for pregnancy tests, so chances are, you're not pregnant.
I've known a lot of people who went off the pill and said that it took months for their cycle to become regular again. Most likely the cramps and breast tenderness you're experiencing is PMS. You should get your period soon.
If you want some piece of mind in the meantime, get a home pregnancy test. Then you should be able to get through the weekend without worrying too much.
Good lukc, hun. You'll be fine :)

I'm the same as you after coming off the pill. I really think its just your hormones adjusting. I've never had a real pregnancy test (not over the counter) come back incorrect at a doctor before. I wouldn't be worried (or excited)...I've done that too many times and the test has always been right.

Any test can be incorrect. Some of the home pregnancy tests are extremely accurate these days. You might want to try one of them before going to have blood drawn again.

I'd say the blood test could have been incorrect, since you got a positive home test. Make a dr appt.

When you have been on birth control for a while your period cycle will change. It will take tome for your body to adapt to the change in hormones. I stopped my birth control about a year ago & still don't have regular periods.
