I just don't get it. Why the heck Dravid chose to bowl first instead of bat? Whenever they bat first, they seem to have good score. Today in the match with Sri Lanka, indian team have shown a very, very poor performance. They suck.

Even though the match is still in progress, you can definitley tell that India is going to lose aginast Sri Lanaka. Had Dravid and his team chosen to bat first, they probably wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

I just can't wait too see India's reaction on this. It'll be interesting indeed. I would like to laugh on the Indian Cricket team getting kicked out of World Cup by first loosing against Bangladesh (Who? Oh, Bangladesh!) and then Sri Lanka.

Way to go... losers.

(Sorry if you feel offended with some of my comments. But I need you to answer that question for me, please)

Thanks for your time.

Nothing wrong in choosing to bowl first, but bowlers didn't perform well.

Umpires decisions on a few LBW appeals were wrong.

Harbajansingh did not perform for what he was expected.
While batting, Ganguly has taken revenge on the Indian Cricket team by playing very loosely in this match as well as in the match against Bangladesh.Pl see the replay of Ganguly's way of out in both the matches. Can he not play with some more responsibility?

Once dropped Ganguly would not have been again taken in. Or he should have been made the captain, Still we do not understand what might be the internal politics.

Tendulkar is only fit for ads.

What is the way Dhoni has been playing - No. 2 batsman in the world !

All ads, annual payments should be stopped forthwith.

It is high time, that in India international Cricket is banned for 50 years.
Or Indian cricket game total handling can be handed over to any of suitable private organisations like Tatas, Reliance etc.as a trial for 5 years.

In fact all Sports activities of the country should be handled by somebody other than the Present bodies/ Government so that interference can be stopped.

Condition was ideal for bowling in the morning as there was lot of seam movement. Unfortunately Indian bowlers could not capitalise on that. Just imagine that Harbhajan Singh, who is considered to be one of the best spinner in the world cricket today could not pick up a single wicket, but conceede more than 5 runs an over, as compared to Muralitharan of Sri Lanka, he took 3 wickets and gave away less than 4 runs an over. Indian bowlers conceded lot of extra runs and extra deliveries, which added pressure while batting. Further Indian batsmen did not apply themsel;ves to the situation. The way Ganguly got out was absolutely due to injudicious stroke and there was no need to play such a shot when lot depended on him. Yuvaraj Singh was totally irresponsible the way got got run-out. He should have watched Dravid closely before running.

Even after bowling first we could have restricted SL to around 225.But SriLankans never gave up and posted 250+
Even while batting India had the chance till Yuvraj and Dhoni got out.
Murali took the game away from India with vital catches and wickets.
Look Murali was plundered for 9 runs in his first over.He switched the line of attack to just about outside leg stump and runs were hard to come though he conceded a few wides. But he got the wicket of Sehwag who was stroking well.
Our bowlers were at the most steady but predictable like a machine.
Our batsmen let go many singles unattempted. There was a single in the delivery in which Yuvraj was run out.Dravid was looking at the ball which is the non-strikers duty.more so when the ball is going behind him(Dravid). Most of our players have this habit.
That is where we fall short.
Sri Lanka though struggling, always stayed in the game with extra effort and were deserving winners.

The way this team has behaved in 2007 worldcup makes me think, it could be due to the 'match fixing' cartels??. Honestly I wasn't thinking about any match fixing possibility.. but guys, look at the amount of money spinning in these underground networks - much more than what 'winning the cup' would have brought in...

After all it's between winning the hearts of million's of fans vs making millions of dollars (or crores of rupees).

Very disappointed .. just venting my frustration guys.

Long live India - but short live indian cricket team & BCCI

i share your view buddy even though i am an indian. indian team sux big time. indians do not have what it takes to play in the world cup. at present i think even teams like zimbabwe and kenya would defeat india.

although one reason i think that resulted in the loss, among others, is the hugh pessure build and the hype and the expectation created by the media and the indian people.

why was it necessary to conduct the farewell program while the indian team was departing to the world cup?
in the program they made jokes, shayaris, quotes, songs on individual indian players and on indian cricket.
all this did nothing more than build tension in the players and made them aware of the hugh expectations from them.
was it necessary?
why cant the indian team just go like any other team and play their cricket without having to bother about all the hype and expectations back home.
due to this the indian team did not play its natural game.- there was no aggression they were too defensive and too scared to loose their wicket.

i too would like to say to the indian team, like jay said
WAY TO GO...LOSERS...WAY TO GO

Well in the morning the ball was swinging and there was moisture in the pitch as the ball was swinging. So there's nothing wrong with bowling first, the thing is India's batting, absolutely POOR performance, all batsmen should be sacked....!!

Imran Khan pronounced that India's p.c.. bowling, additionally huge-unfold as speedy bowling is susceptible. certainly, there are 2 concepts of bowling one is p.c.. and the different is swing. India has good type of spin bowlers like Kumble. India lacks p.c.. bowlers. i think of it at present has 3 speedy bowlers- rp singh, sreesanth. India isn't undesirable at bowling.

In the match with Bangla Desh, they batted first and yet they lost. They wanted to prove that even if they fielded first, they would still lose.
