Are there pills that will make your overall skin darker, or lighter? I have seen on a fictional TV show someone was taking pills to make their skin darker but I was wondering if that was just made up.

Yes there are pills that will change your skin color
they are called Largactil and you can only get them on prescription they are for mental illness.
They work if you stay out in the sun and the longer you stay in the sun the darker you get.

It can possibly be a side effect of medication, but in general, no, there is nothing that just changes skin color and doesn't have internal effects.
Medication tends to turn skin yellowish (if it's affecting your liver badly) or blue-grey (if you take too much silver nitrate - oh, and that's permanent and cannot be undone.)

Not lighter but darker. You can find these pills at your local savon pharmacy. It's made by some cosmetic company from France.

Sounds like you watched the movie Soul Man....but to answer your question...no there is no pill to make yourself darker...try tanning..lol
