if you want a technical answer:
the egg came first. because amphibians were the first to lay eggs on land and dinosaurs came later than amphibians. therefore amphibians were considered to be the first to lay eggs. but again, the egg laid by amphibians were very different from those by dinosaurs. ancient amphibians lay soft-shelled eggs whereas dinosaurs lay hard-shelled eggs.

Since God created dinosaurs gradually from ampibians to reptiles to the big dinosaurs it would be hard to say, since the mother would have looked a lot like the hatchling. Yet the hatchling would have possibly grown up to be just enough different to be considered a dinosaur, while its mother would not be one. The genetic changes come in the eggs and are so gradual that it may take many thousands of years for the differences to become obvious.

This might be religious on your point of view but the Dino did come first. My belief is that God made all animals on the same day so he mad Dinos before any animal could lay an egg.
