Try looking at stores with electronic departments that most gamers wouldn't go to - the Toys R Us and Target in my city has a stockpile of Wiis, Wii-motes, and almost every game because most gamers do the GameStop, E.B. Games, BestBuy, and Wal*Mart route.

It's so hard to find them because Nintendo is doing the limited release of the games to build desire for the systems and games. It's frustrating, I know. Try talking to the clerks in the stores to see when they get shipments in (usually Sundays) and at what time.

I have been trying to buy wii for my son (to full fill his Christmas 2006 wish). But I am really concerned abou the way Wii is marketed by Stores like wall-mart and toys-r-us These stores are taking advantage of the demand for wii and trying to rip off children and fans (wal-mat price for Wii starts at $650.00 stuffed with all T rated games and non selling games at high price). My son wanted to buy just wii and the basic E games it comes with but we were not able to get one for the correct price (even after spending several hours in queues, my son is daily calling calling stored in the 50 mile radious but no luck).

we are very disappointed to see how wii is marked, there is so much technology out there why can't these sretail tores sell wii in advance or give some kind of item reservation (rain check (by limiting quantities using id etc).

You can notice that Majority of wii consoles are ending up in eBay for bidding at higher ask price and Stores like wal-mart bundling up the price to $650.00 . Please write to FTC about these greedy corporations trying to bundle up game consoles by adding non relevant (unsuitably rated) games.

Wait for some time and trust Sony or Microsoft to come up with better systems with both Graphics and motion sense features and with better marketing system than Nintendo.
