I was doing a project on it and was just wondering, or would the red and greens and other colours just look like grey ?

A true color blind person does not just see things in black and gray. The thing is the eye has cones and cylinders. Cylinders for grays and cones for colors. Different cones see the basic three colors, red, blue, and yellow. When a small amount of these cones are present the person can't distinguish between different shades of the color, not see it in gray. Ex: you can't tell the difference between light and navy blue.

Overall color blind people can still solve a Rubik's cube because the colors are so different.

The Rubik's cube is ore complex than that,it's not just about matching the colors...There are a consecutive amount of turns that you need to make in order to get one side to one color....many ppl learn this technique and can do it blindfolded.

Yes they can it would just take a lot of work. There could be Rubix cubes with pictures instead of colors. Or patterns that could identify one face. I guess blind people could too becuase you could put some time of feeling brail system on each square so you can tell what it is. That would be really hard.

Color blindness doesn't necessarily mean that you see things in black and white.
The most common form of color blindness in humans is the inability to distinguish red from orange.
Some of the most severe forms of color blindness in humans is to see things in shades of blue and green.
So can they solve a Rubik's cube,,,,
That depends on their aptitude for logic.

I believe they see in shades of black or grey and so they can probably solve it by matching up the different shades of a color they see.

well my brother is colour blind but he is just a bit slow & can distinguish the colour if he squints at it....it might be easier to write 'red', 'green', 'blue' etc on the respective squares!

Yes, a rubics cube is nothing but mathematics. How do you think people do them blind folded, there are not that lucky. There is a sequence of turns that you can keep repeating in order to solve it.

Absolutely. I recently saw a gamer solve the puzzle blindfolded, so it can be done.
