My partner (cousin also) and I are doing a History project. We are making a movie about the Irish Potato Famine. We desperately need a website that has imformation about the boat travel or a family that was in this famine...(mostly about boat travel and a family on the boat) this would be a big help. Thanx in advance. p.s. We are also loking for journal entries about days on the boats.

I would highly suggest that you refer to literary works based on that time or written during the potato famine. There are numerous poems and stories by the people who lived during it and the ones who traveled on the boats. I suggest you check out the links below.

If you have access to a school or public library I would see if they have the book Life on a Famine Ship: A Journal of the Irish Famine 1845-1850". This is a factual book from the point of view of a child Michael who took a boat with his family to America. ISBN #9780764160042.

If you need good links, find a search engine that shows scholarly sources. But personally, I'd find a decent book on the subject in a library, but a good website could be useful as well
