No, If you truly are a music lover, I don't think that any music (except for hip-hop) would be uncool. I'm talking about real music now, when the performers play instruments, sing for real, etc. Country music consistently outsells every other genre. Most country music is pure, whereas a lot of your pop, rock and other music are pre-packaged, over-hyped, and over-played. I think you may be asking this because you've heard some music that is country and you found that you liked it, but are afraid what others may think. That is crazy! Listen to what you want!

Have you ever listened to any country music? It's changed a lot through the years. Traditional country might not suit you - it has a "twang" and some people don't like it. Contemporary country is very different and some has a rock beat to it. I've always liked country because the lyrics are great. They talk about real life - love, heart ache, children, old people, family. Why don't you try it?

Please watch the Grammy awards in May. Carrie Underwood (Idol winner 2006) will win several awards for her "country / pop" CD SOME HEARTS.

I love country music, and I don't think it is uncool at all. It's more accepted now than when I was a child. I also love Rock and metal, I am very diverse in my music choices.

I like country music. It has alot of songs that I can relate to. Different things in my life trigger a certain country song in my head alot of the times. I also like alot of other music. It's just one of those things that you will have to listen to and decide for yourself. Country nowadays isn't like old school country that was usually about getting drunk, my girl or boy left me, they cheated on me, my life is over type stuff. If you want some upbeat type stuff try Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood (American Idol), Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert (Nashville Star 'country version of American Idol'), etc. Good luck!!!!

Country music in my opinion is the best! Don't knock country music until you listen to it. Listen to country music and form your own opinion. Look at some country videos on line. Some artists to take a look at are Faith Hill, Martina Mcbride,Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney. Just to name a few! Have any questions or want me to recommend more artists please contact me.

i personally love country music, but its hard to find people who agree with me. I think that more people listen to it then will admit, simply because of the rep it has as being "uncool."

Uncool?? How old are you? Music isn't cool or not cool, it's music and an individuals taste dictates whether they like it or not.

Country music may be many things, but "cool" is not one of them.
