My mother had a miscarriage with her first pregnancy when she was only 19 years old, and 7 mths into her pregnancy. Her fetus never developed into a baby. She pretty much had to deliver a cluster of cells, that she said, "looked like grapes on a vine." My mother's miscarriage almost cost her, her uterus, but she refused to allow the doctors to remove it. The doctor told her that she would never be able to have children, because she had to go through chemotherapy after her miscarriage. Two years later my oldest brother was born, two years after that I came along, and then three years after me, my baby brother was born. Today my mother is a grandmother of two granddaughters and one grandson.

The doctors told my mom that she would never have children. Doctors are not always right.

I tried to get pregnant for years.... Even saw fertility specialists, took drugs ect. to no avail. When I finally did get pregnant years after that, I had what they called a "Chemical Pregnancy". That means that my uterus would not open to accept a fertilized egg. Needless to say I miscarried. I was diagnosed with PCOS and told I could not have children because I did not produce the hormones needed to ovulate and even if I did, my uterus was not going to let a pregnancy be sucessful and I would miscarry within 2-3 weeks. So, being so irregular and pretty much hopeless, I went on the depo shot to stop painful, irregular bleeding. Not very long ago I was in a bad car accident. While at the hospital they routinely checked for pregnancy before x-ray. They told me I was pregnant and took me to ultrasound where I saw my baby! I am now almost 11 weeks with strong heartbeat and my OBGYN assures me that all is perfect! So not only did I get pregnant on birth control that usually makes women sterile for a year or 2 after taking the shot (at 35 years of age!)...I My uterus is doing it's job and all is well! All things are possible! Best wishes!

After two years of trying, my mom and dad were told that they wouldn't be able to have children-due to an extreamly low sperm count, one ovary, and a tilted uterus. They adopted my brother from South Korea in 1974 and then my sister also from South Korea in 1977. In 1981 my mom was sick and in the hospital being treated where they did a blood test and told her she was pregnant with me! They did an ultrasound and told her that I had spinabifida and she should teminate the pregnancy. My mom told them no, that she has waited for so long to be pregnant that she would carry the baby. When I was born, full term, nothing was wrong with me...a perfect baby when all the doctors said it wasn't possible.

God is amazing!

I have polycystic ovaries and am overweight, making it very hard to conceive. Luckily, with help from my doctor, I became pregnant right at the onset of trying. My son is 10 months. I've lost a lot of weight since he was born (75lbs) and found out two weeks ago that I was pregnant again, without even trying. Unfortunately, I lost the baby yesterday. There is hope, and there are miracles.

I got pregnant (at age 37) after 3 cycles of IVF. After 2, the dr. told us to give up and consider adoption, but I wanted one more try. (Third time's a charm... three strikes and you're out... and all that.) Turns out that the third time was the charm. The dr. said he'll be telling that story for a long time.

I know a woman who had her first (and only) child at almost 40. She tried every single thing she could to get pregnant from freezing her eggs and going IUI and IVF. She tried everything!!! For years!!!! And finally when she made the appointment to have one last go, she was going to use her last egg, she found out she was pregnant.
