Natural (or cellulose) fabrics such as linen, cotton and rayon (a cellolose by-product) generally burn faster than manmade fibers.

Many manmade fibers such as polyester and nylon (both thermoplastic) do burn but instead of burning freely like cellulose fabrics do, manmade fibers melt and so the fire does not spread as quickly. Most are considered to be fire retardant although other factors apply. Acrylic seems to burn more readily than other manmade fibers.

As far as acual fabric burning, it also depends on the environment they are in and how they are being stored or used (curtains will burn faster than a bolt of fabric, etc.).
