The tribes are the Tutsi and Hutu, but the original cause of the genocide was the Belgians who CREATED the two ethnic groups. They were all the same until Belgium came and separated them and favored the Hutu and oppressing the Tutsi. (the details are much more extensive)

I don't think you could call it waring, the Hutu's were exterminating the Tutsis basically out of the blue. Its was a mass extermination, not a war.

That's a good question.I know what went on in Rwanda but I don't know who did that to them.What I'd like to know though is why no one did anything to help those people who were being murdered.They were more than just murdered they were massacred.Did our do gooder media report what was going on?Did anyone try to intervene and save those people?No, and I'd like to know why.

I think it was basically Muslim vs. non-Muslim fighting. Islam has genocidal teachings.
