Just purchased a wireless router but I don't know how to passwork protect it. If anyone could tell me I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

It's under admin tools, really depends on your mfg. Also enable WEP encryption 40,64,128bit. to protect your connection. Enter the key on the router, and also on your computer (network connections).

You should be able to go into the settings and put up a password and user name. You only have to do it once though. And then that way no one else new coming into the house or outside can connect unless you give them the user name and password.

That's how my dads computer friends set ours up.

To access the User interface type 192.168.2.1 in your browser.
This should get you on the router configuration screen and from there you can access your security features.
