Build a Bear is not the same as making teddy bears.You only stuff it and dress it.
To make a bear, there are lots of free patterns online. Here is just one! http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bear.html
It does take some knowledge of how to sew.

You can go to buildabear.com, and build your own bear and have them ship it to you. But it's nothing compared to going to a build a bear workshop and having your own built right in front of you. You get to kiss the little heart that goes in the tummy and you get to wash it off (It's actually a plastic bathtub that blows the bear with air to remove any excess fluff) and dress it and personally name it. Do yourself a favor and go to a workshop and build one. There's no other experience like it. :o)
