I had my period Jan 16-21..I had sex w/ my bf on Jan 27/28--then I cheated and had sex w/ my ex on Feb 10th...I have been testing negative since I missed my period in Feb (which should have started on Feb 17) then I missed March so I took one today and I have faint positive lines..Is there a way to tell who the father is? Please help!

Ok, in your monthly cycle this is what happens: counting the first day of your period as day 1, you count to the day of your next period. this tells you how long your monthly cycles are. Most women are 28 day cycles. When people are trying to get pregnant, they are told by doctors to follow this plan (I got pregnant this way) Counting from the first day of your period, count to days 11-15. This is called your luteal phase or ovulation phase. this is pretty much the only time you can really get pregnant... Though sometimes you cycle can be off a day or so every month.
Now looking at a calendar and the dates you have posted, it seems most likely that this is your BF's(days 11-12) baby and not your Ex's(day 25). Go to your doc and have them do a BLOOD TEST. this will give them your HCG levels and they can tell by this roughly how far along you are in weeks and days. Then you can just count back and get a more true answer. Hope this helps!

honestly, I think it is your ex's child b/c you usually ovulate around day 14 of your cycle and you may not have been fertile yet when you and your bf did it. I think it is more likly to be your ex's also b/c the positive line was faint the first time you tested which means you probably got pregnant around 2 weeks ago. But you did say the last time you had sex was on feb 10th which woud mean that the prego test would have come up positve at the end of feb so that does not make much sense. I guess I have no idea then. I would lean a little more towards your ex though.

When you go for your first appointment they will tell you how far along you are. Ask for a blood test also to see how far you are. Then since it was about 2 weeks apart you should be able to pinpoint who the father should be. It's cutting it kinda close; so you really may not be sure until the baby is born. I am sorry that you are in the situation you are in. I would be honest with my boyfriend from the gate though. He'll have 9 months to prepare himself just in case & ya'll will have time to mend your relationship. Also; did you have unprotected sex w/ both parties & if so did either one pull out? This is a reallly difficult situation. Good luck to you in whatever happens.

I was kind of in the same situation before. Only difference I didn't cheat. I broke up with a guy(had sex once) and then I went back to my ex. I got pregnant in less than a month. I was scared out of my mind because I really didn't know. When I went to the doctor he told me when I got pregnant and that confirmed everything for me. The baby was my ex's and I was very happy about it. So I would wait until my doctor appointment. There's always a DNA test after the baby is born. One thing I do know is that you need to be honest with both of them. Good luck to you and the baby.

This is my rough guess. You started your period Jan 16. Therefore you would next be due on Feb 13. You ovulate about 2 weeks after starting your period. That would be Jan 30th - roughly. So sex with your Ex would have been too late - too close to when your period would be next due. Best guess it's you boyfriends baby.

well if you have a normal cycle like 28 days then i would venture to say that its your bfs...b/c then your ovulated 14days (the 29th) & would put you at concieving 28th/29th (sperm can live a little while in you while waiting for that egg to come) but I am no doctor just using my trying to concieve (ttc) skills to work. I doubt you got pregnant on Feb 10th but there is always some weird chance you might have...faint line is pretty much a postive...good luck ~not an easy issue, even if you resolve the "who's is it" it doesn't chance the cheating issue...

Your last actual period started on 1/16 so this is when they would start counting the 40 weeks of your pregnancy. You probably conceived around 1/30-2/4 since you typically ovulate 14-19 days after your period. I would say it is your boyfriends baby since sperm can live in your body for a few days. Your due date will probably be around 10/16, but you really need to get to a doctor to have everything confirmed and checked out. I am not a doctor, but this is how everything was figured for me. I didn't have any doubts or anything, but this is how my due date and conception was figured.

Unfortunately you can not safely find out the father of the baby until after the child is born. They will have to do a DNA test on both the guys. Just from the dates I would GUESS your boyfriend but either one could be the father.

when you go to the doctor he or she will give you a date that you conceived. Now because your dates are close together there is a possibility that you may be wrong. But if your doc gives you a specific date out of those two you list then that person maybe the dad. The only real way to tell would be a paternity test when the baby is born

There's no way to tell while you are pregnant who the father is. You are just going to have to wait until after the baby is born and then do a DNA test.
