Moon

Nasa has already anounced that it is going back to the moon. This will help them develope the technology to go to Mars.
Going to Mars is easy but coming back is very difficult because Mars has a strong gravity like Earths. On the other hand, coming back from the moon is easy because the launch takes much less power.
Coming back from Mars will be as difficult as landing a space shuttle and launching it again with out servicing it in between.

Some believe that the first "moon walk" could not have happened because of the Van Allen belt.

NASA needs to solve the problem of shielding astronauts from radiation and temperature extremes beyond 250 miles above the earth's surface.

According to some, if we go to Mars, it's likely to be a staged event like the Apollo program.

man will walk on the moon again first

I belive so because that is a lot closer in distance than mars... and all of the men who have walked on the moon are in their late years niow.. everyone who worked on the apollo program are either very old or dead now.. so it willbe "practice" for a mars run closer easier to monitor and a lot fastrer for testing things than sending it off for 8 months before it gets there

Well, personally i think man ought to walk out of Iraq first, then think about walking somewhere else after the war in Iraq has been paid for.
