The 2006 world cup Italian campaign would not have been complete without the AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti. Stringing together wonderful passes, supplying great crosses, distributing and helping the team on so many occasions (the Australian incident vs. the scudetto of 2002 and of course his presence was felt in the 2002 world cup --- Touche!)
So, Italy (and Donaldini) have no idea how much they need Totti. Having realized this, Totti is comfortable assuming second fiddle --- for now!

Totti now is not in perfect shape, he needs to have rest than he decided to come back in national team in september after that he will have removed the plate that he had to put in his ankle for the injury before the world cup.
