You all claim that you support the troops but not the war. Fair enough.
So then, how does passing a meaningless spending bill with an artificial withdrawl timeline support our troops? Does it make you proud that your democrats are so spineless that they can't stand on their convictions and simply use their Constitutional power to defund the war?
Does it make you proud that this bill that was passed by the house could not pass on its own merits, and so your democrats used bribery and pork-barrel projects ($24,000,000 worth) to buy votes? Does it make you proud that if a new spending bill is not passed by April 15, the military will have to begin cutting funding for training and equipment for ALL troops!?
Is THAT the kind of support you want to give our men and women in uniform?!

And if your answer is going to be some anti-Bush rant, don't bother. Your rhetoric is so old and moldy it could be used to make penicillin.

Tony,
Then why are you answering? I'm not trying to insult you. I'm just curious. :)
Skip,
I'm not surprised. I'm just... dismayed... disgusted really.

Cthomp,
If you're incapable of simply answering a question, don't try. All you've done here is spew rhetoric without actually answering the direct questions I posed to you.

Js,
That is NOT an answer to the question! Why is answering simple, straightforward questions so hard for you liberals?!
You'd better be prepared to call Bill Clinton as much of a liar as you are calling Bush a liar, since he made the same case regarding WMDs, and you'd better be prepared to make that same accusation against Hillary and all the other democratic politicians who made similar statements.

Ndmagicman,
Didn't I tell you not to bother with your anti-Bush rants?! It's OLD. It's tired... It's been disproven so many times it's rediculous. But I know you'll hang onto it, because you think it justifies your hatred of the man. BTW, if you want a fascist, why not look to Mrs. Clinton.

Sky,
Your comparison of George W. Bush to Hitler is completely without merit and shows your ignorance of that historical figure.
What do I mean by pork barrel spending?
Money toward SHRIMP FARMS, PEANUT STORAGE, and on and on and on! All at the expense of our men and women in uniform, those who put their lives on the line every day so you can spew your garbage! You disgust me, sir.

Yah ill be deployed to Iraq by late 07 and I hope these people change their minds about not wanting to give money to pay for the stuff we need, if the gov has to cut donw on costs it could be bad, and would definately slow down the surge effort. I cant believe they would do this to the troops they claim they support? I wish these liberals were out on the ground fighting this war, theyd be raising taxes and everything to pay for it!
Edit:
"Your rhetoric is so old and moldy it could be used to make penicillin." Lol, that was awsome, and so true. Yet even if we took all their rhetoric and made antibiotics out of it the disease of liberalism still could not be cured.

Yes, I'm proud of the democratic House. They haven't started a war yet, so they've caused less harm to the troops. If they manage to actually underfund the current troops (which seems hard to do as the 2007 DoD budget was raised $113.5 Billion over the 2006 budget) that would be unfortunate. Personally I think sending troops to Iraq was a waste of lives, we should have continued training them and saved all that logistics costs to better equip them so if an military stand-off with Iran occurs, we'd be better prepared.

I guess pork barrel spending, you mean by DENYING the people of New Orleans much needed funding to help rebuild their shattered lives?
Or the farmers out in California to recover some losses to the recent freeze spell which ruined $500M in crops? or the e.coli outbreak which decimated some farmer's profit margins?
Yeah...
I really HATE IT when Congress thinks about the PEOPLE IT REPRESENTS rather than itself!
Man...! I certainly miss 2005 where the Republicans loaded one spending bill with billions in pork barrel projects--including a $283M "Bridge to Nowhere"...
And yes, I'm proud of the Democrats. Proud that they finally got their **** together and started taking a STAND against your Fuhrer.

Very proud that they finally stood up to the fascist Bush and his cronies. You claim to support the men and women of the armed services but you approve of sending them to fight and die for an illegal war created through lies and deceit, without the needed equipment, with inadequate planning and support, for a cause that only Bush and his wealthy cronies are profitting by. And you have the nerve to say you really show support for the troops?

It is typical liberal practice to act like they care about the troops, but the truth is they don't. There is no support for their bill and they know it. I mean Nancy Pelosi had to bribe people in order to make this BS statement. It just shows that liberals have no spines, they are invested in defeat and want us to lose just like in Vietnam. The part that gets me is that you are surprised by these liberals

Liberals aren't perfect, but neither are the Republicans. The Republicans are the ones who have managed to put a deep divide in the country the past 6 years and now you want the Liberals to play a fair game of politics while they're in power...I'm sorry to tell you but what goes around comes around.

Firestorm ... As for me, your question is "Not applicable." Although I consider myself a centrist/independent, I haven't found a "Dem" that I've wanted to vote for yet, except for maybe Sen. Joe Lieberman, but I'm not from his state. And I've been voting for almost 40 years!
Great, great question and thanks for taking the time.

And the Repubs. got soo much more accomplished? While they had their monopoly on the Gov't they lied to go to war, ruined Americas good name, increased debt, decreased stability and generally F-ed up! Yeah, they did sooo much better.
