WOMEN- Do You wear make up ? If Yes Do you go anywhere with out it? Like run to the mall ? GYm or ETC??

Most men I know prefer women without makeup. Which came as somewhat of a surprise to me, because I see guys going for the girls wearing tons of makeup all the time. I do wear makeup, but I like to keep it light and natural looking because it's meant to enhance your features not recreate them! Also, it gives me more of a polished look, and so I generally wear it to meetings, conferences, parties, etc. Who wears makeup to the gym? That's kinda gross.

Interestingly enough, a few months back Cosmopolitan magazine did a survey via the Maxim website--the same girl with almost no makeup, a medium amount, and then a lot, but each version done to look very soft and natural. The men *overwhelmingly* thought the girl's face with the most makeup was the most attractive. The key, of course, is to keep it looking like very little makeup! Men really aren't as aware of makeup as they think; they go more by general impression.
Me, I wear a lot of natural looking makeup to work, and go more dramatic in the evening. Whether or not I wear my "work face", something less, or nothing at all to go to the store depends on who I think I will see and whether or not I care about looking my best that day. Wearing makeup is in general a sign of high self-esteem, of caring enough about ourselves to present ourselves at our best to the world...just like dressing attractively and practicing excellent hygiene.

I am just starting to wear make up again. I am 30 and I went a LONG time with out it, but I am starting to look older and I have started wearing it again. I don't have to have it on to go out to the store or the gym. But I do have to have it on for work.

I would prefer a woman without makeup generally, because I would like to know what the person actually looks like. You will be surprised how bad some of the actresses look when you see them in public (paparazzi) pictures without makeup.
My dad gave me this advice, If I sleep with a woman and when we wake up in the morning, I do not run away, she is okay to marry. That is when a women would be in her most natural state.

I put my makeup on when i have time or i'm going out with my husband or to the mall and sometimes to work

I wear slightly more dramatic make up on evening outings.
Light natural make up during the day.
If it's just a quick non-important outing, shopping or whatever, I just powder my face.

i almost never wear make up - but then again my husband prefers that. in general - a man will tell you he prefers no make up but then proceeds directly to drooling over some celeb with TOO MUCH make up on. Wear makeup so it's barely there - . your face does need free breathing time tho too. if you have to put make up on to go to 7-11 - then its time to do some self reflection.

I usually don't wear it.
If I do, it's light powder, some bronzer, some gloss or light lip shade, and mascara.

I prefer girls without make-up. Too many girls who wear make-up wear too much and make them look awful.
