how can i get my mom 2 accept me the way i am?

ok im 12 years old and i love rock music and i got 3 d's so my mom said i could not listen 2 it anymore and i have a cd wit it i put it in the car she says nothing i put it in my bombox and she trips alot she cuts up my cd she takes my i pod and she says y can't u b normal person and listen 2 hip-hop can u guys help me

but now i have b's and i still can't

That's tough. Explain to her you're listening to rock because you like it, not to rebel against her rules or anything like that. Tell her that you promise to keep getting A's and B's, she can let you listen to your music. You're not hurting anyone so I don't see why not. If you're going to listen to it make sure its not blasting, keep it at a respectful level, and try to compromise with her.

I can understand liking rock music... But honestly if I was your mom, and my kid came home with D's... Id take away everything you like too! You are 12 years old... Get your act together. Do you actually want to grow up and be a loser??? If so, then keep doing what you are doing.. your on the right path to loser town!

Tell your mom that liking a certain style of music doesn't effect your grades. my mom was the same way with me and my choice of music style. As her why she can't exept you as the person you are like a normal mom. (and also, I ave alot of friends that don't listen to hip hop tand they're completely fine).
If you really want to get her back, start listening to hip hop and get even worse grades.

It shouldn't matter what kind of music you listen to, as long as you don't go peircing weird places and getting lots of tattoes....In other words, stay the same, just listen to the music~
