I say friends because this is a very selfish sign in the beginning, its all about them or nothing BUT they lure you in with the charm and the I love you's so its easy to get sucked in but take heed! Its an illusion, its a pretty box thats empty...
If you can deal with the beginning stages and stick it out, the leo will begin to trust you he/she will be loyal till the end but it takes patience to get to this point...leos fall in love quickly and get bored just as quickly so it doesn't benefit a person to take them too serious in the beginning, you just set yourself up to get hurt.
Friends first, the lovable cat can't be tamed but if you prove worthy of his/her friendship, you will have a friend 4 life.

a real lover might desire to, on many ranges, be a good pal as properly, so i'm going to % a real lover. I even have faith that looking a real lover is a extra tricky relationship to locate than a good pal. exciting question! :)

I say friends, they're very independent though. which is maybe what attracts people to them, so kind of both friends and lovers.

friends if you enjoy being with the life of the party and they are great motivators. but not lovers unless you can be secure with them being flirtatious and the center of attention.
