If you're fishing for ideas, try having a party with/for them.
If you're just wondering about daily stuff, friends only need recognition and 'Thank You's. Buy them a soda or something simple.

By helping them out whenever I can without having any kind of expectations , sometimes by telling them so but mostly by just being there for them whenever they need me.
