No, he didn't get hurt, thank goodness! I am so sorry for those of you who have met tragedy in this way!

Your cat's name is Iggy? I named my cat Ignatz! Heh heh!

I've never had a cat jump in my dryer.

Oh God I really had that happen to me once & it's not funny. I had turned the dryer on & about 5 minutes later I was missing the kitten. I looked in the dryer because he had a tendency to get in there when the door was opened. I found him gasping for air & little burns on his head, side & tramatized.
He lived but every since then I always make sure there are no pets in the dryer. Needless to say he never tried to get in the dryer again either.

That is how my mother killed our family cat. She didn't mean to, of course. She did a load of laundry. The cat jumped in there, and Mom didn't know. She turned on the dryer and left. The trauma from tumbling in the dryer killed the cat. Then Mom opened the dryer, and to her horror, found the dead cat.

No but my niece said their cat was in the dryer once.
Luckily they noticed that the cat wasn't around and it
had been playing in the laundry room just moments before.

Yep, years ago. That cat flew out of there so fast - he must have lost 7 lives. It was hysterical. Wouldn't have been so funny if I didn't open the door right away though. Silly cat.

yes but it was just my daughters "fur real friend" cat. that like real play cat. she gave him a bath and put him in the dryer, I put my stuff on top of it not looking first and turned it on. I don't have a real cat so imagine my surprise when I heard a crying cat in my dryer.....and yes it ruined it.

My husband and no one in his family did, when he was young... His mother found the fluffy, white cat in the dryer, dead.
