continue to let the war and money mongers of the world ruin and desecrate our planet. To make matters worse, we actually listen to their rhetoric about having our best interests in mind. How bad do things have to get before people step up as a community and take back the right to live in peace and harmony without some as***le in uniform telling us the rules they made have to be followed?! When do we realize that we are the "ants" and they are the "Grasshoppers". Our "benevolent government" has deemed itself high ruler of us, they take our money, they take our dignity and they take our Human right to live. The reason we are all over the world trying to be tough guy because our governments has pervrted their positions so that the whole world knows that they are "individuals" working collectively to GET MORE MONEY for their private jets, expensive mansions and privet schools for their own priviledged kids.Don't you people see, if they really cared about us, they would show it.

First of all, they have a lot of control. They control the media, the same media that so many people count on for their information to make their "educated vote"; within the media they control what questions are asked, and how those questions are answered.
Equaly as important, they control our education system. The No Child Left Behind ACT is leaving anyone behind who doesnt pass their state administered test the first time. The program is also underfunded.
Astonishingly, they are also writing laws like the "patriot ACT" that go completely against our constitution; which is the very foundation of our country. Perhaps more surprising is that nothing has been done to counter the patriot act.
Also the rehtoric they use not only when they;re campaigning but all the time. Education wise, children are not taught how to see through this rehtoric and propaganda.
Perhaps the sadest part is that its like-or it seems to me anyways- the american people have blinders over their eyes, they are content to live out their own little life and dont care about the changes that may take away thier freedom, or even their lives. Americans are content to see Ana Nicole Smith as front page news for more than a week straight; they are content to watch American Idol or other such dramas; Americans are content with such trivial things.
Most Americans wont go out of thier way to learn because thats not a skill or priority that is normaly adopted in American society today. IN MY OPINION THE UNITED STATES HAVE BEEN DUMBED DOWN. And i mean that its very easy to get a diploma these days. I should know; im class of 2006. Cake I tell you!
We have been dooped and i believe that the American people dont care!
And that, is my OPINION.
But what do I know, Im only 19.
