I didn't do nothing to earn this thing. Except what I normally do.

Yes, anyone who owns the Top Contributor Badge has earned it. They should show it off with Pride.
And do not forget, that some of those in P&S also have been recognized in OTHER categories as well.

I don't know that it matters. It's an ugly badge and it tells people who harass others where you usually are. I think it's just a way to ignore problems with the reporting system.

I have worked hard at it and made some nice friends along the way. Every now and then I entertain trying for top contributor in another category, like philosophy, just for personal discipline, but give up after one or two! So, here I stay!

If it is only given ,because you spend most of your time here i would say no.
But if you answer each question to the best of your ability:then yes
But if you ask me:get rid of that stupid thing
Makes me feel branded
I am not life stock.
I am a person.

I don't really want it... but it's nice to know that all the chances I've taken at almost getting fired at work has been well worth it to get me a little orange box under my avatar... lol
