I'm admittedly not very familiar with the Mexican league, but my hunch is that MLS clubs can hold their own against them, and therefore have a decent shot at winning the tournament. Exhibition games against European clubs have helped: they've given them a chance to see how they measure up against some powerhouse clubs from the continent, even if the latter probably didn't take those matches all that seriously either.

Did you now that in Copa Libertadores and including the Pachuca run Sudamericana. Mexican teams have a 16-10-7 record vs Argentinian teams. MLS has a lot of catching up to do. Many fans make too much of the last Mexico loss to the US. They think that since the US beat MEXICO now the MLS is better than the FMF. hahahahahaha!! Get real! on day they will be on par but until then give Mexicans the respect as we are the MLS's fathers. Somos sus padres bastardos!!

from what i remember no mls club has beat a mexican club on mexican soil(if im wrong please correct me), doesnt mean they cant, I just think its an interesting stat. The last time an mls team went to mexico to play they lost 5-0, well see what happens this time.
I think Pachuca can turn it around and if Chivas has their players back from the friendly against Ecuador they should win as well.

I'm tired of people not taking serious the MLS, the FMF is losing power because there best mexican players are leaving to Europe and the MLS are calling some good players from Europe like Beckham and i heard Costa Rican's Wichope would be sign so that does the U.S.A would win Champions league this year and next year
U.S soccer rules Freddy Adu would one of the greatest players of All-Time

you guys are all gay if you think US teams are better than Mexican teams. Housten barely beat a team from Costa Rica in the semis. And DC played like **** aganist Chivas and got so lucky in the end like always. The MlS is one of the worst leagues in the world according to FIFA.

Well, unless pachuca recovers fast (they shouldn't have underestimated them), it might be too late. On the chivas side, i think if chivas can score an early goal or two and defend good (and NOT fight!!!!!) then they can win.

I think they are good. MLS is gradually improving its play. i would like dynamo vs chivas that way i can attend the final here in houston and watch two of my favorite teams go head to head.
