I don't see an issue with that but I could see many people having problems with a white rasta here in America. If you go to the islands (not only Jamaica), you will see many different people praying to JAH (white, many many Japanese, Indian, etc.). It is not a colour thing. How many white Islamic, Hindu, Buddists, Taoist and other religions do you see out there. Many!!! You will find many people very accepting of you if you are around people who do accept that as a religion.

I don't think that being black is a prerequisite for being Rastafarian, but I do believe that a lot of the beliefs of the Rastafarian culture might not be very comfortable for a white person. Still if it's something that you are interested in, check it out for yourself. Perhaps you could be a pioneer and an example for other whites to follow.

Well, tell your mommy that humankind started in Africa and then spread out... so there is nothing wrong with that.
Rastafarian is basically a religion, so it shouldn't matter what color you are. I actually know of a few white guys who consider themselves Rastafari. If thats what is in your heart, then roll with it, continue to educate yourself, and don't worry about what others think.

Only if you are a fool...you will never be accepted as a white man. You believe that you should make babies with as many women as you can and not pay for them? You believe Hallie Salasie is God? You believe your own race are the children of satan? I can tell this much...you don't have a father in the picture and I feel very sorry for you.

Rastafarianism qualifies as a religious belief. The practices of Rastafarians include smoking marijuana which Rastas believe was provided to them by Jah (God) to enhance their spirituality.
Yes, it is okay to be White and believe in Rastafarianism. This religious belief does not discriminate based on race, creed or color.
Irie Rastaman!

If you don't mind looking like a total doofus.
I don't get what cultural significance it would have for you, since Hailie Selassie is dead anyway (unless it's the whole dreadlocks and ganja thing. But white people look like fools with dreadlocks.)
But whatever floats your boat. Or, well, whatever causes you to think your boat is floating in some psychedelic sense.

My dear, one visit to Africa...
"thanks for taking my race out of here", famous black musician who toured Africa.
Go back to Africa..and do WHAT? Cure Aid's? Poverty? Injustice? Famine?
It's all right here, those problems. Your holding onto an idea, or abstract concept, something that can't be held in your hands. The cold reality is much different than the small window your presently percieve the world to be.
