Is the practice of believing oneself to be more capable than one actually consciously knows on is a “good” practice. Is being overconfident to achieve what one wants narcissism? - Or do you think humans are in most cases unaware of there true potential so this type of overconfidence is a good thing.

Only if taken to the extreme. By which not only are confident in you ablities but also egotistical about it.

Hi, no it is not.
A true narcisst got irrevalant goals aiming at being liked, looked at and such ,and cant even see the relevant goals,unrealistic goals.

overconfidnece is on the contrary to have unattainable but in some way or another relevant goals.

it is about two diffentent approaches to prioritizing in other words.

ya have to wander if it's over confidence or over compensation, that one feels a lack of confidence so they try to convince others they have confidence and it is obvious. it's an inferiority complex.
