No subscription. PS3's online server plays for free, unlike the Xbox 360 or original.

have confidence me bypass with the 360. i offered a ps3 good while it got here out, and on a similar time as i do take excitement in the loose on line, with the 360 you get what you pay for with stay. it has a occasion gadget, a powerful chat gadget, and a genuine commonly used on line adventure. i even have grown to love the 360 controller far greater useful, and that i think of that in case you do purchase a 360, get the elite interest of the 12 months equipment deal. additionally, in case you opt to apply on the spot internet quite of under pressure, shop in mind which you will could pay around 60-a hundred greenbacks for microsofts overpriced adapter, while it truly is geared up into the ps3. i think of that the ps3 is a greater efficient gadget, although builders do not likely use its potential in video games. plus the 360 has far greater useful unique video games. and once you're apprehensive approximately purple ring of dying for the 360, microsoft prolonged their guarantee for this to 4 years, and likewise the greater moderen 360s now have the "jasper" chipset, that's geared up a lot greater useful and has a a lot decrease failure value. oh and in case you have netflix or might think of approximately getting it, on the 360 you may have countless video clips streamed over the internet to you xbox for loose, besides as television shows. the quantity of movies you will get are actually not truly intense, yet you will get comprehensive seasons of a lot of nicely-known television shows.

PS3 online is free, but you get what you pay for. You can't reserve a user name, it doesn't store data, you can't do anything about players who cheat, etc. Also, as far as I have learned from other answers on here, Sony don't control the servers, the developers do. So don't expect things to get any better any time soon.

Its free (at least for now) you just need to subscribe, you can also chose not to put your credit card details.
Theres some demos you can download for free, but some full games you'll have to pay. But its completly free to play against people.
