Everyone, everywhere in Canada should be treated the same. The same access to health care, education, employment opportunities and they all should pay the same tax. No exceptions. If anyone wants to be part of the solution then they have to tr No one should just sit around for hand outs. The Government is to blame not just the current one but all past ones as well. Instead of tip toeing around the issues with Native people everything should of been spelt out what should of been from the beginning. Cultures and traditions to be respected and everyone pays the same tax. Had a clear concise plan been integrated into the natives way of thinking to make them feel part of this country we call Canada there would be little BS instead of all this BIG BS. We could probably learn alot from native culture. All we have done is destry their culture and spirit and have created mor harm than good.

It just depends on what tribe you are talking about. The Eastern tribes (around New York and such) are more self-dependent on themselves and run their reservations with some direction, as opposed to the Western tribes, such as the Navajo, who rely on millions of dollars of the federal governments money to run their shambly economy instead of using the money to get their people out of poverty. If your looking for something more interesting and a more "rich-poor" subject, I would focus on the Navajo Nation government. Hope this helps!

That's a pretty broad question. The issues are as varied as the tribes themselves, and can deal with trust land issues, tax status, water rights, status of federal contracts, health care funding through IHS, environmental regulations, gaming regulation, and so on.

Perhaps our minds flow as water does. Our identity slips right through their minds. Their minds are looking for something of science, something that can be grasped an answer. Their minds are like scalples or knives.
It has been tryed again and again. They try to divid something that cannot be divided. They try to slice water into two peices but the water conforms around the edges of the knife and reforms on the other side, back to one mass.
The knive swings faster and faster. Production through all four seasons. People working day & night on production lines. Their minds like winging knives trying to slice emotion & spirit in half, trying to divid water, trying to divid nature. Nature like water still grows around the boarders or slices they have made.
It has been tryed again and again. They try to divid something that cannot be divided.

The federal government has violated almost every single contract or treaty with the Native American tribes, throughout our history.
So, which particular treaty violations would you like to focus on.

Google- the farm animals alleviation act. this remains a factor of rivalry even right this moment. that's an unjust regulation that especially objectives navajos, and keeps us constrained as to how plenty sheep we are in a position to possess, thereby battling ranchers from prospering and enlarging their herds.
