English class? No.
It is however the English language. If you want to be taken seriously by intelligent people, you'll at least avail yourself of the "Check Spelling" provided by Yahoo at no extra cost.
Besides, strategic misspelling can make you look like a genuine horse's @ss. This morning I read an answer in which someone called President Bush an imbecile and misspelled imbecile.
Funny, no?

I care about spelling. I see it as a representation of me and my intelligence. Not to say that I'm all that, but when I see simple words misspelled, it makes me wonder if the writer knows how to spell. Also, it looks lazy.

I don't care, but sometimes the spelling is so horrible you can't understand or read the question. I don't mind simple mistakes, but they do have a spell check so you can check it. I don't see the big problem.

I only care about my own spelling. Besides, I used to ace all my spelling tests in grade school.

yeah..sometimes I'll take the time out to spell, and other times I'm just too lazy..then it just goes from a full sentence to a full load of crap...lol
