It seems that the really good military generals are Nancy Pelosi and members of the national media. They seem to act is they know more about military tactics than the generals in our Army.

General Nancy Pelosi has decided that the best tactic is to do what Al Qaeda demands. Amazing that members of Al Qaeda don't back down before General Nancy Pelosi and her sergeants in the mainstream media.

Have you tried reading the Constitution?

Congress gets to make decisions regarding allocation of funding, including military funding. That's their job.

And Congress is not trying to dictate tactics. They're not even trying to dictate strategy. Tactics deals with what individual units do in the field. Strategy deals with the overall objectives and how they pursued.

All Congress is doing is setting forth a budget, and a time- limit, and saying "whatever you do, do it within these limits". That's their job. See Article I of the Constitution.

4 full years and it's still not "Mission Accomplished" as we were told by a monkey in a flight suit or pajamas, I forget which. If we tripled the troops we currently have there, it still wouldn't be over. We're in the middle of 2000 years of infighting between tribes in a country the size of California. It's logistically impossible to physically control the people or the land mass. It's time to bring the troops home.

When you tie FREEDOM to money or lives, you invite the Doom to come down on you in your home.
What needs to stop is the free hand outs to the contractors, and make them bid jobs, or lets make our military go back to doing their own laundry, cooking, etc.. This would save billions in the wars.
But if you think by just pulling people out to save money or lives will help, or stop terrorist your fooling yourself.
We will next have a new 9/11 and in your homes you will be fighting the terrorist.

the measure is tied to 122 Billion dollar funding... That is over 2 billion dollars per week. This insanity must stop.

Instead of reading things out of context, read what the bill really states. If the Iraqi government fails to meet certain requirements, our American troops come home. I think that is fair. It is time for the Iraqis to take care of themselves. We have already spent 500 billion dollars, over 3000 americans killed, 35000 maimed for life... and that's not counting those soldiers who have died from wounds but not counted because they were not killed in battle.

The insanity has got to stop.

Come on people, get it together...give 535 members of Congress, Michael Moore, Jane Fonda, Cindy Sheehan and the rest of that bunch their turbans and burkas and deport them to country of origin Iraq and Iran! Make sure each one gets a camel for transportation and 10 dinares...That's the least we can do for them...

I read the constitution and, as far as I can tell, President Bush is still Commander in Chief. That's something that the Democrats can't seem to get through their pointy little heads.
