why is it hard to sex a rabbit when it is only 7 weeks old but eaiser when there 6 months old.?

Is there an easier way to sex young rabbits.

the reason why I ask is i have a pet store who buys my exsess bunnies but i like to keep the girls and let them have the boys, But they want the bunnies when there about 6-7 weeks old cause baby bunnies sell better then adult bunnies.

i think once uve done it afew times it will get easier. the genitals look very similar when they are young and when they are 6 months a males testicles will usually have started to fall by this time. it can be abit difficult as often buns will get wrongly sexed.

Thier sexual organs are more mature when they are older. The differences in the two can be difficult to determine without experience, but more difficult when they are young, as the differences can be less obvious. There is only one way to check...I could find you a link with instructions if you need. :-)

'cause their stuff is easier to see when they are six months old - compared to when it is really tiny when they are 7 weeks old......
