An article today described the new "what if" bill in Mississippi criminalizing abortion in all cases except for rape and when carrying to term endangers the mother's health (even incest is not excepted) if Roe v Wade is overturned. Yesterday, an article described drug companies' decision to more than double the price of birth control pills for college students nationwide.

I'm pro-life, but I just can't reconcile this. Incest is illegal in all states and should be an exception. And birth control should be available at affordable prices, especially to high school and college students, if not provided free of charge.

What do you all think?

I don't think that abortion should ever be used as a means of birth control but I also don't think that we should take away the right to choose. I think that with the decision to have an abortion comes many mitigating factors and that the woman who is pregnant is the only one that should decide if she wants one or not. I don't think that anyone else should be privy to her decision and she should not have to explain herself to anyone.

As for the birth control. They should be made available for little or no cost but with all the Conservatives out there that think that giving high school and college students birth control is telling them to go out and have sex, then that will never happen and the prices will continue to rise..,..
