What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?

Fairbanks, Alaska...early March. My wife, her brother, and I decided to walk to the store down the street since it was a "nice" (above zero) day. On the way back, I realized that I had not slipped and fallen on the ice all winter. After I made that observation to them, I got MAYBE 15 feet before fate caught up with me -- classic, too, with both feet shooting out from under me, the half second "pause" in midair to give me time to contemplate exactly how much this was going to hurt, both grocery bags flying off into the snowbanks.

It was days before they stopped laughing at me.

I don't know that this was -the- funniest, but it's definitely on my top 10. I was 11 years old, and I was at a family reunion. There were like 200 people there or so, and my great uncle gave me a prank pen (it made a loud popping noise when opened) to use on my great aunt who was around 80 years old. So, I asked her to "write down her phone number", and when the pen popped, people thought someone was shooting at us. A lot of people screamed or fell to the floor. It was a bad idea, people yelled at me because I could have given her a heart attack. I was really scared, because this was our extended family and I only knew about 10 people there, and I couldn't find them. It was in a church, so I hid for about an hour back where they baptize people. It was horrible then, but pretty funny now.

I don't remember what the funniest thing ever was,
but there was a dead fish once at my bus stop in the grass. It was so perfectly out of place, no explanation. So I just stood there in the Bank of America parking lot laughing at the grass...
