Yahoo probably has had a team of 50 developers working on their site for 10 years. A website with so many features takes years to build, even with 50 people.
This doesn't include the people who write all the content, who runs the network, who keeps the servers from crashing, who run the wires, who run the telephone lines, who checks the emails... who... oh my god...do everything. Don't forget about the guys who keep the toliets clean...
