I cant figure out how to uninstall them. I have programs that ran in stealth and an old kapersky(sp?) that i cant get rid of and the alcohol program and i am sure a few other..they all have a file under the c: program files...........but i try to delete and it says it is running and cant..............help pleaaasee

This is actually common. More common than you think. Look in the menus to see if the program has an Uninstall option. If it doesn't, try the following:
1) Make sure that the program does not have an icon in the Startup group. If it does, delete it.
2) Start your computer in Safe Mode and delete them there. To do that, restart your computer and as soon as it goes to a black screen start pressing the F8 key very rapidly. When you get a menu, choose Safe Mode. You will be nagged about running in Safe Mode. Tell it that that is what you want to do by clicking Yes. Barely anything starts up this way, and you should be able to remove the problem programs then.
3) If those do not work, consult a qualified tech person about having your registry cleaned.

Go to the registry and delete their registry keys.

so close the program. all of it, then do it.
