My personal best (worst?) was 105 in a 75 for $350 fine. But I had the cuffs slapped on me for 88 in a 55, go figure. I beat that one in court, however.

Hmm, Ydoncha's looking mighty hard to top. It sounds a wee bit over the top, however. Great description if you are for real. You are in the lead so far.

Y'all have mostly reasonable and believable tickets. Shakespeare seems to have the largest differential between the posted limit. My actual ticket is a little embarrassing when I know that I was just relaxing at 105 after being up near Mach 5 on a ZX-14. 105 seemed slow. If that cop got me for what I was really doing, I would be picking up trash on the side of the road in a chain gang.

120mph+ in a 55mph zone.

Was riding down Highway 101 from Hopland into Cloverdale with a buddy, screaming down the mountain, using all four lanes as we were knee draggin it down the hill. As I approached the bottom of the hill, I noticed a shadow following me - I shut off the gas, saty upright and looked over both shoulders - but there was no one around! Still, the shadow followed. I looked UP, and there was a Humbolt County Sheriff's Search and Rescue helicopter chasing me and my friend!! We pulled off the freeway and tried to hide, but the helicopter was right on us. So, we came back down to the edge of the freeway and surrendered...

The loca cops said that the copter had one of us doing 120mph and the other doing 90mph and asked who it was. Neither of us said shyte. So, they gave us both a ticket for doing 90mph in a 55mph zone... Thenm they actually found a jar of weed and a pipe on my buddy, but LET US GO!! It was humbolt after all - and all they seemed worried about was meth. They kept asking us if we were carrying or using meth. I told them I got my speed from my bike and everyone had a laugh... So, they gave my buddy's weed!

Here is the kicker - I beat the ticket in court!! The cops had checked off that I was caught on radar - but the Search and Rescue helicopters arent set up with traffic radar, so this was a lie. I wrote a letter to the judge, did a trial by declaration, and beat the ticket for both myself and my buddy!!!

Since then, I take high speed onto the race course.

43 in a 30. And the cop was lyin'. He added 5 to write the ticket. It was a grudge thing between the local P.D. and me. They finally "got" me on something.

Honestly, I've only had one speeding ticket!
That's not meant to say I'm a goody-two-shoes or anything.
Been caught sometimes, just not speeding.

I once passed a cop at night doing 140 in a Porsche Turbo. I hit the brakes and pulled off the freeway so he cut me some slack for not making him chase me, and wrote me up for excess of 65.

this was when i was still in high school...well over 20 yrs ago. busted for doin 70 in a 45 zone. they cracked me pretty good back then....woulda costed a hell of alot of coin to do that today. now i wont do more than 5 over usually if solo, but will maintain traffic flow if boxed in. keep in mind, this was in a cage, not a bike. havent been pulled over on the bike yet...i dont give em a reason.

90mph in a 75mph zone. Ticket costed me $950.00, 15 years ago.

I haven't sped more than 5mph over the speed limit since and haven't had another speeding ticket since.
