Women are productive until menopause.
Anyway 38 is a very fertile age.

My wife and I first got pregnant when she was 35. She had our second daughter when she was 38. We had all the tests recommended for someone my wife's age but both pregnancies went fine and the kid's are healthy.
We hope to have a third child in the next couple of years. If our schedule works out, my wife will be 41. We aren't too concerned about it because she is in pretty good health. She's done a lot of research and follows doctors and nutrition recommendations very closely.
It is true that chances to get pregnant fall as you get older but there is a lot you can do about it. My wife monitors her ovulation cycle on a regular basis using her temperature. It made conception much easier. There are many books about the subject available. I recommend it to all of our friends.
Good Luck!

I am 38 and pregnant with my second child. I had my daughter at 36. It took me 8 months to conceive my daughter and 6 months to conceive this pregnancy. I had to take Clomid to help me ovulate so I could conceive, but it was worth it. Clomid is very common and very inexpensive. I paid less than $20/per month. It helps to stimulate ovulation. Your fertility rate decreases with age, but there are so many advances in medicine now that there are many options available to help women conceive. Many women are waiting until their mid-late 30's now to have children, so don't give up without trying. Good luck.

I had 2 friends and a sister in law who all had babies last year. They were all three 37 and had healthy babies. Both of my grandmother's had babies late in their 30's, one at 38 and one at 39, one was on purpose and one was a surprise. They also both had healthy children and that was 50 years ago. I'd say with the improvements in health care your chances of conceiving and having a baby are good.

You are right. With age chances become slimmer of getting pregnant, but there is hope. I am 31 and got pregnant. I took my vitamins, got a Ovulation monitor, and focused on having lots of sex around my time. I also tried Ovulex to help increase my Vaginal Mucus. I got pregnant the following month. Check out there website at www.yourfertilitychoice.com. Good Luck!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

My aunt had her one and only at 43...so its possible...you need to advise an ob/gyn as to what diseases you may come across, and if you are willing to accept them if the baby is born with some of them..seriously...
