ballet and dancing lessons sound a really good idea but can be quite pricey.

why not try finding a local youth group that does drama classes (normally saturday mornings) and then she can pick up bits.

encourage her to swim, then when she is really competent she could combine her skills and join a synchronised swim group!!!!

Does your council have a fit kid programme? If so it is ideal for little ones, they get a chance to try out loads of different things, and then may find something that they are good at, or enjoy. Then you can start spending the real money on the equiptment or outfits needed as you know your daughter is likely to stick at it.

We have not long got a trampoline for the garden, if your kid is bouncy i recommend it highly! 10ft with a net, was £80 - ie; cost of four swimming lessons for my clan!! Way to go I say.

Where do you live? In NE lacrosse is a great girl's sport, as well as field hockey. So many girls do soccer (overrated) but I'm a swimmer and I swim all year round. I have made so many friends!
