Tomlinson has 6 full seasons of wear and tear, is in his prime and would command a Herschel Walker-like deal that could lead to a dynasty, while Turner is 3 years younger and seems more than capable of filling the role.

So trading LT would create a dynasty, Um Bro they have a dynasty type team right now. Why would you trade the best player in football, in the prime of his career for draft picks that could be a huge bust? The only thing the Chargers need right now is a number 1 receiver (Which Malcolm Floyd will probably be) and a safety. Other than that we are set.

Turner the burner is great, hes awesome - But LT is a player that no one in the NFL compares to. He can catch throw run. Nobody can play like LT - He's gonna go all the way w/ the Chargers - LT is in his prime right now. How many records did he break last season? I think it was like 3 or 4 records and one of them was like a record that hadn't been broke in years - I forget what it was but it was a long standing record he broke Anyways the Chargers would be crazy to let him go and I hope to heaven they never do. They have all the other great players right now - like merriman - gates - neal - rivers and so many more truly talented players - hopefully the coaching situation doesn't mess them up - I predict Chargers are getting a Super bowl sometime within the next few years.

LT LT LT LT LT LT LT LT LT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First id liek to say never put LT and Vick on the same team, LT is probably one of the very few athletes who could catch his horrible throws.

As for trading LT the only way to benefit from that would be a young franchise type player. They would also need to get a draft pick or two and a mor eestablished player. LT is worth it but there arent many teams willing to give up that much for him. The only teams that would be willing to do that couldnt support LT and would wear him down within 2 or 3 seasons and ruin an amazing RB.

You are correct that his trade value won't get any higher and that he's at least half-way through his career if not more at this point. If they could get a high enough pick this year for Calvin Johnson plus another 1st and 2nd rounder it would probably be worth doing. In any case, I don't see Turner as a suitable replacement for LT otherwise the team is stupid for not trading Turner as backup runningbacks are a dime a dozen. The Chargers are in desperate need of a #1 WR and maybe #2 too.

WOW I never thought of that but its a great idea. He's at his maximum value right now. And as we've seen after record breaking years so many running backs loose their steam. For example Shaun Alexander got injured, so did Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis hasn't been the same. I don't know who would be willing to give up what he's worth but if the offer came along I'd take it. LT benefits from the system and OL a lot so Turner could do just as good. If they could trade him for some top draft choices and some major help in the secondary. They need a top cornerback and some serious help at safety. I remember the Broncos trade of Clinton Portis for Champ Bailey... and what team has benefited more? Didn't Portis go on IR this year?

I doubt it would ever happen but LT for Asante Samuel and the Pats could throw in some draft picks. Or LT for Deangelo Hall and some draft picks. Lol can you imagine Vick and LT together on offense -> screen passes galore

LT is retired, that other guy doesn't deserve a hall of famers nickname. (Not that he won't be in the hall himself)

Yes, if they can get a Herschel Walker type return for Tomlinson then I say do it. Look how that deal propelled Dallas, who was an incredibly weak at that time. San Diego has a solid team all around. I say go for it.

NO i does not do it! Michael Turner is going to have a large season and that i think of he will earn extra fantasy factors this season than the two LT and Matt specialty. Randy Moss will proceed to have good video games in spite of whether or not Tom Brady is throwing him the ball. solid luck!

Amazing question. Jesse is a genius. LT for DeAngelo Hall, Atlanta's newly acquired 1st round pick (from the Texans), and why not the other two picks they got from Houston too. Vick + LT = 500 rushing yds. a game. Atlanta wouldnt have to worry that their recieving core is a joke. Jesse, great idea man.

Stop it! Your suggestions will turn the Chargers into perennial contenders, cutting my Broncos out of the loop!!

I totally think it would kill the franchise - so if AJ has any plans to move, I'd sell LaDainian at high bid, move to LA, and reap the benefits with Michael Turner at RB and two fan bases. Sick, huh? But it's business over nostalgia.

If you think that they should trade LT then your an idiot! This guy just broke the single season td record and you think they should trade him? I know that Michael Turner has talent but he just ain't LT.
