You did mean "funeral" right. You should sit with your son. That would be up in front,right next to him. So sorry to hear about the loss. Your son needs you now so don't let anybody tell you that you can't sit next to him at the funeral.

u sit in the front next to ur son... my mother passed away 2yrs ago. my parents were divorced and couldnt stand each other. but my father swallowed his pride and sat with his (theirs) 3 kids right where we needed him
